Per Diem = Tax-Free Money

Per diem is paid on top of your hourly rate and is not subject to federal income tax. At $65/day on a 6-month contract that's roughly $11,700 tax-free — money most mechanics with agency contracts never see.

Zero Recruiter Markup

Staffing agencies typically charge contractors 20–35% on top of your rate — and you never see that money. A contractor paying $90/hr through an agency? The mechanic often sees $65. On AeroRobust, what the contractor posts is what you earn.

We Fix What
Was Broken

If you've ever been a mechanic trying to find contract work, you know the struggle — scattered job boards, recruiters who don't understand the trade, and weeks of waiting just to hear back.

AeroRobust was built from the ground up by someone who has lived that experience. A site built by someone who actually turns wrenches, respects your credentials, and connects you directly with the contractors who need your skills — no middlemen, no surprises.

FAA Verified Credentials
Your A&P and IA certifications are verified directly against the official FAA Airmen Registry — giving contractors real confidence in who they're hiring.
Direct Connections
No recruiters taking a cut. No resume black holes. Apply directly to MROs, airlines, and repair stations — and hear back fast.
Nationwide Reach
From Atlanta to Anchorage, 1,800+ active jobs across all 50 states. Filter by aircraft type, pay, housing, and more to find contracts that actually fit your life.
Why This Exists

This Isn't a
Tech Company.
It's a Trade.

AeroRobust was built by an actual FAA certified A&P mechanic who spent years dealing with staffing agencies that didn't understand the difference between a B737 and a B767 — and recruiters taking 30% cuts before mechanics ever saw a dime.

That experience led to one simple idea: build the platform that mechanics actually deserve. One that speaks the language of the trade, respects FAA credentials, and cuts out every single middleman between a mechanic and their next contract.

"I had been using staffing agencies for years. They always took their cut before I saw a dime. Signed up on AeroRobust on a Tuesday, had a direct contract offer from an MRO in Houston for $72/hr by Thursday. No recruiter in the middle. That difference is thousands of dollars a year back in my pocket."

"I've been an IA for 8 years. Skeptical of new platforms. But the FAA verification badge on my profile made contractors take me seriously immediately. A Part 145 station in Dallas reached out to me — I didn't even apply to them. 12-month contract. This is how it should work."

"Just got my A&P certificate. Thought I'd be months finding my first real job. Created my profile on a Friday. A GA shop in Phoenix specifically looking for entry-level mechanics found me over the weekend. Started the following Monday. First job in aviation. I tell every guy finishing A&P school to get on here."

Common Questions

Got Questions?

Is AeroRobust really free for mechanics?
Yes — completely free. Creating your profile, getting FAA verified, browsing jobs, and applying to contractors costs you absolutely nothing. We charge contractors to post jobs and access the mechanic database. Mechanics never pay a cent to use the core platform.
How does FAA verification actually work?
When you enter your FAA certificate number, our system queries the official FAA Airmen Inquiry database — the same public database the FAA maintains. We check that your certificate number, name, and certificate type all match. If everything checks out you get the FAA Verified badge on your profile within 24 hours. We re-check every 14 days to keep it current.
Do contractors pay recruiters or middlemen through AeroRobust?
No. That's the whole point. Contractors pay AeroRobust a flat monthly subscription to access verified mechanics. There is no per-hire fee, no commission on mechanic pay, and no recruiter markup. When you agree on $70/hr with a contractor — you earn $70/hr. Not $70/hr minus someone's cut.
How is this different from JSfirm or Avjobs?
JSfirm and Avjobs are generic job boards built for HR departments — not mechanics. They have no FAA verification, no aviation-specific filters, no pay transparency, and no direct connection between you and contractors. AeroRobust was built specifically for A&P mechanics, by an A&P mechanic. Every feature is designed around how the aviation maintenance trade actually works.
Is my FAA certificate number safe on this platform?
Yes. Your FAA certificate number is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and never shared publicly or sold to third parties. It is only used to query the FAA Airmen database for verification and is visible only to you and authorized AeroRobust admins. We take this seriously — see our full Privacy Policy and FAA Disclaimer for details.
What if I just got my A&P and don't have much experience?
AeroRobust is built for every level — from brand new A&P holders to 30-year IAs. We have a dedicated entry-level section and contractors who specifically post for entry-level positions at FBOs, GA shops, and regional carriers. The mechanic shortage means even new mechanics are in demand. Create your profile and let the FAA verification do the work for you.
How do I contact AeroRobust if I have a problem?
Email us at [email protected] — we respond to all messages within 24 hours on business days. You can also use the Contact page to send a message directly through the platform. We are a small team run by people who care about this industry and will actually respond.

Is Enough to
Get Started.

You do not need 5 years on a 737 to find your first job. Contractors on AeroRobust post positions specifically for new A&P holders. FBOs, GA shops, regional carriers, and repair stations that know a fresh certificate is the starting line, not a disqualifier.
